Shag Study

Firstly apologies for the long delay since the last post. June has been an incredibly busy month with workshops nearly every day and night. I managed to squeeze in a trip to the Farnes with excellent company, and managed to get some shots I had been thinking of for a while of the Shags that breed close to the path. With some Puffin shots in the bag form previous visits I dedicated most of my time to trying out the Macro on birds – not something I often get the chance to do.
So lets start with the full Shag and move in!

Wha a stunning bird!

Common Beauties

I have spent some time recently finding locations that may hold good butterfly populations. One meadow held good numbers of Common Blue’s and as the sun went down and the day started to cool they became quite obliging.
